How & Where To Sell Things To Generate Additional Income

One of the fastest and easiest way to generate extra income without needing to apply for a job is by selling. From locating stuff around your house that are no longer serving a purpose to finding products (buy low sell high) online, this method of generating extra income is a no-brainer.

One of our favorite market places that is both beginner friendly and have people looking to make purchases is eBay. eBay is a terrific way to sell all kinds of things online, including clothing, cars, gadgets, shoes, and more. Not only are there people shopping on eBay, they are from all parts of the world which is a plus if the local market isn’t big enough for your area of expertise. All you need to do is sign up for an account, upload photos, and you even get to list your items up for free. You only get charged a percentage when the item sells. Ebay is definitely on the top of the list when it comes to generating extra income with minimal amount of work while also having the opportunity to scale it to a full-blown business.

With the same things that you list on eBay, don’t let it stop you from listing it on multiple platforms which includes Facebook Marketplace and Craiglist. Why not make use of the photos that you’ve already taken and upload them to get more eyes and increase your chances or more sales. Although different types of products work better for different platforms, there’s no reason not to list them in multiple marketplaces

Poshmark is another one of them. Poshmark is one of the most popular when it comes to apparel especially used. If you have clothes laying around that you don’t wear as much anymore, Poshmark is the perfect marketplace to get some sales going. Once you get more familiar with pricing and the things that do well, there’s no reason you can’t keep an eye out to flip clothes you find on clearance from places like Walmart, TJMaxx, Marshalls, or any apparel store.

Etsy is another marketplace you should take in consideration. They are mainly geared toward custom and hand-made products so if you have a crafty side to you, this is where you’ll definitely want to check out Etsy. Once again, don’t forget that products that you create can be sold in multiple places at once like the ones mentioned above to increase sales.
